In the midday sun up at Truro, St Just came so close – but ultimately fell short against Perranporth in Cornwall Clubs Vase Final.

The final score of 24 – 3 doesn’t reflect the hard work and determination of both teams in this game. At half time the only thing separating the two teams was a last minute try for Perranporth. With the sun beaming down all day, the second half simply proved too much for St. Just, and Perranporth started to pull away. Our 3 points were scored by Fly Half Josh Rowe, but we were unable to build on that. We did however keep fighting until the final whistle, and certainly gave Perranporth a strong challenge.

Congratulations must be given to our opponents, and we wish them the best of luck for next season.
